Guaranteed Minimum

By default, a successful resist completely negates Knockdown. Some weapons or abilities may specify a guaranteed minimum in their description (e.g. “Knockdown — even on a successful resist, you suffer -1 AP next turn”). When present, that minimum overrides the standard “no effect on success” outcome. The Knockdown effect itself does not impose a minimum.
