- Items are consumed when used, regardless of whether the treatment succeeds (unless the Trained Medic milestone prevents it on failure)
- Difficulty is determined by the chosen treatment and its quality tier

Treatment Quality modifies the Difficulty: - Proper (all required items used): +0 - Adequate (most items used): +3 - Improvised (minimum viable items): +6
Utility items reduce the Difficulty: - First Aid Kit: -2 DC, +4 Heal Bonus - Doctor’s Bag: -5 DC, +7 Heal Bonus
On SUCCESS:
- The 🤕 Injury is mended
- Apply all used item effects (healing, Cripple Threshold recovery, etc.)
- Items are consumed
On FAIL:
- The 🤕 Injury is not mended
- Items are consumed (unless Trained Medic milestone applies)
