Incapacitations are the third and most severe tier of ๐ค Injury. A limb reaches Incapacitation through ๐ค Injury Escalation โ when an already-injured limb takes further damage and the END + Survival Test fails.
For robotic creatures, Incapacitations are called System Failures.

Treatment
Incapacitations require the most demanding treatments at higher DCs:
- ๐ฆด Bone Surgery (DC 20) โ for Mangled Arm / Mangled Leg
- ๐งต Internal Surgery (DC 20) โ for ๐ค Organ Failure
- ๐ง Cranial Stabilization (DC 20) โ for ๐ต Concussion
Treatment Quality (Proper / Adequate / Improvised) further modifies the DC. See the ๐ Treatment Table for full details.
Post-Mending Effects
Even after successful treatment, Incapacitations often leave a lingering Weakened debuff if the injury was mended through anything other than a ๐ Long Rest:
- Mangled Arm โ ๐ฅ Weakened Arm
- Mangled Leg โ ๐ฅ Weakened Leg
- ๐ต Concussion โ Weakened Mind
- ๐ค Organ Failure โ Weakened Organs
For robotic System Failures, the equivalent action is Reboot (or ๐ฉ Fix Malfunction with significant resource cost) using a ๐งฐ Toolkit or โช Uncommon Scrap.
