πŸ“‘ Military Radio πŸ”³πŸ”³πŸ”³ πŸ’° 400

An olive-drab field set with a folding whip aerial and a handset on a coiled cord. Heavy, loud, and the only thing on this list that talks back.

Send and receive

Transmits and receives on any frequency you know.

  • Reaches across the region β€” far enough to raise another set several map tiles away, or anyone monitoring the frequency.
  • Terrain blocks it. Deep ruins, dense rock, basements, and heavy weather cut the signal. High ground restores it.
  • Anyone on the frequency hears you, including whoever you did not mean to talk to.

Limits

  • Three slots. It is a pack set, not a pocket set.
  • It cannot break encryption. A scrambled channel stays scrambled without the key.
  • Transmitting is audible at your end. In an enemy’s line of sight or earshot, it is a loud action and breaks πŸ‘₯ Hidden status.

Cannot be crafted

The πŸ”¨ industrial-workshop rule puts transmitters out of reach of a field workstation. Found, bought, or taken.
