Your Origin is who your character was before the campaign began. You pick one at Character Creation, and it is the only choice that changes your body rather than your training.
Every Origin grants an Origin Trait for free. It does not count against the two optional π· Traits you may select.
| Origin | Species | Origin Trait |
|---|---|---|
| π§ Human Wastelander | Human | Wastelander |
| π§ Human Vault Dweller | Human | Vault Kid |
| π§ Human Brotherhood Initiate | Human | The Chain That Binds |
| β’ Ghoul | Ghoul | Necrotic Post-Human |
| πͺ Super Mutant | Super Mutant | Forced Evolution |
| π€ Robot | Robot | Robotic |
Species
Origins group into four species. There is no separate species choice β your Origin sets it β but perks, traits and equipment gate on the group rather than on the individual Origin.
| Species | Origins | Perks unavailable |

| Human | π§ Human Wastelander, π§ Human Vault Dweller, π§ Human Brotherhood Initiate | 7 |
| Ghoul | β’ Ghoul | 9 |
| Super Mutant | πͺ Super Mutant | 15 |
| Robot | π€ Robot | 29 |
Some π· Traits are also restricted by species β a Super Mutant may take Walking Arsenal, a Ghoul may take Mutate!, and neither may take the otherβs.
